The aim of the tournament is to celebrate the excitement, diversity, joy and excellence that rugby has to offer by bringing together the finest teams from a variety of European countries into a premier tournament setting for all levels. New players and team selections for the coming season can be tested and given a unique experience and the ultimate challenge to be the best. Through the tournament, we hope to promote the sport of rugby and bring the community together in this celebration of rugby excellence. Rugby's values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship are what makes the game special for those who enjoy the environment and culture they create. They define the game and define Rugby Club Octopus .

New this year, the men's social cup for senior men's teams playing in the Dutch 3rd and 4th division plus any selected guests from abroad playing the same level. We will host this event on the Friday evening in a social environment with the focus on social and fun. Teams are invited to stay the night in our tented accommodation and we will make sure there's plenty of food, drinks and music throughout the evening.
Saturday 31 AUGUST 2024 | men's & women's competitive
Welcome to senior women's teams from all divisions. Welcome to men's teams playing in the Dutch 1st and/ or 2nd and Future division and equivalent from abroad to create a fair and balanced setup. This year without men's premier division teams, anyone interested though please contact us, as we could host a practice match fixture on the day. Participating teams very welcome for an evening full of fun and dance and again we our tented accommodation available.
Sunday 01 SEPTEMER 2024 | youth
Teams from Colts to Benjamins are welcome, keep in mind the different age categories. Time of registration and kick off will be published at a later date depending on the amount of teams participating. Expect the Benjamins (U10), Mini’s (U12) and Cubs (U14) to play in the morning and the Juniors (U16) and Colts (U18) in the afternoon.
The different youth categories are:
- Colts - U19 (dob 2007/2008)
- Juniors - U16 (dob 2009/2010)
- Cubs - U14 (dob 2011/2012)
- Minis - U12 (dob 2013/2014)
- Benjamins - U10 (dob 2015/2016)

Referees
The referees make our tournament a success and we are excited to welcome referees for both the youth and the senior tournament from The Netherlands and neighboring countries. We will offer these referees the opportunity to work with international teams or a variety of levels in combination with active coaching and feedback during the tournament from referees' instructors. Due to the large requirement, referee registration is essential. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact Bram Onno Hanegraaf for the referee allocation.
Tournament site
The tournament venue is Park Moleneind in Uden, home base or Rugby Club Octopus . With the full support and cooperation of Uden municipality and the adjacent sports clubs we offer all amenities in close proximity. The tournament site and field numbers will be re-arranged during the youth tournament in order for them to play their normal size pitch. We have 4 grass pitches and the whole tournament site covers enough space for warm up areas. More facilities depending on any regulations, but you can expect the following:
